Our conclusion: The GlenDronach Hielan 8 years is recognizable in smell and taste a younger single malt. In a positive sense, it is very fresh and light, a malt made for balmy summer evenings. On the other hand, it almost looks like a GlenDronach Light. The typical Sherrynoten are withdrawn, the Malt looks a bit shy. In comparison, the GlenDronach offers 12 years more depth and is much rounder. He is not only in the price-performance the better choice.
