  3. ctu scored this whisky 84 points Connoisseur

Light, shy and overpriced malt, but unique flavors.
    • Nose
Floral. Grass, herbals, honey, citruses, spicy oak, vanilla and fruits.
    • Taste
Fresh and floral. Citruses, vanilla, milk chocolate, nutmeg and ginger. Oak.
    • Finish
      Medium length, spicy, oaky.

  4. markjedi1 scored this whisky 84 points Connoisseur

Light, aperitif style single malt. Quite lovely, but prohibitively expensive. A half bottle has a price tag of 150 EUR, which is over the top.
    • Nose
The nose is very delicate and silky soft on citrus and grass, loads of vanilla and subtle notes of honey. It even has – albeit way in the back – some damp earth and something milky. With some imagination, I can even still smell the barley.
    • Taste
It is wonderfully fresh and zesty – mostly citrus now. Mild on the spices too: cinnamon, ginger and a pinch of nutmeg. It does taste younger than its 23 years though. It is fresh and lively, almost playful. Nice continuation of the nose, upholstered with some white chocolate and icing sugar. The citrus evolves towards blood oranges, which I find quite pleasant. Lastly, there is also a mildly floral note.
    • Finish
The finish is actually quite short, but zesty and fresh. The spices of the wood fade away quickly.

  5. pianoman scored this whisky 79 points Connoisseur

    • Nose
Light, fresh, flowery. Subtle bright fruits, light, light wood notes.
    • Taste
Grain, malt, slightly sparkling. Stale mineral water, a bit bland.

  6. Blo scored this whisky 82 points Expert Senior

A whisky that would be honest, if the size of the bottle was doubled and the price divided by two!
    • Nose
Nose nice enough, rather austere and mineral, a bit like a Cly ******. A little marzipan then fruit types apples pear.
    • Taste
Shy, it's pretty light and dry. Apple and floral notes but it's still quite distant and closed.
    • Finish
      Pretty short.

    Poor price-performance-ratio!

It is an average 23yo single malt scotch, but you can check yourselfs which similar aged bottles of other distileries (0,70l) you can buy for 225GBP...
