  1. Lafroy scored this whisky 86 points Expert Senior

Definitely not what I have expected from Highland Park. If I was given it as a blind I would certainly go for fruity speyside. As long as nose is almost flawless, mouth is not that close to perfectness.
    • Nose
It opens with fresh sweetness, sweet oranges that were peeled off a few seconds ago, grapefruit, watered grass, fruit sweetness, spring flowers, it has strong bourbon notes, tropical fruit drops, and a lot of red tea.
    • Taste
It starts with low vanilla sweetness, strong vanilla cream with alcohol notes, a lot of green fruits (apples and pears), dryness, but after approx 15 seconds it becomes very warming with hints of white pepper. Eventually red tea comes to play and metallic aftertaste.
    • Finish
Rather short with red tea taste, green rotten fruits, dryness and white pepper.
