Aroma: first, as it is not surprising, there is some kind of a mixture of ripe sweet fruits, then smoke of a fire mixed with prunes and dark raisins, oak bark, freshness, a little mint, coal dust, chalk, vinegar, not alcoholic.
Taste: sweet, smoked bacon, prunes, raisins, marmalade, all that was lying in the smokehouse and well smoked, a little minerality.
Finish: long, damped firewood, ashen, sweetness, hints of pine needles and flavored pipe tobacco.
    Rating: 86
Bottom line: a little more interesting than his fellow Machir Bay, well done, especially pleased with the very long finish. But whisky is only 5 years old, not bad! For interest, Ugadale poured himself a little, and here, of course, everything became clear ... Kilkhoman looked like a poor relative in the background, and the price is not very different, and perhaps better to throw a little and get a drink of a completely different class.

Interesting and bit different Islay malt.
    • Nose
Light, fresh and soft nose. Spices, light smoke and citrus. Everything in a nice balance, nothing dominant coming up.
    • Taste
Soft fruit, peaty smoke first followed by spicy notes after. A little oily feeling on the side.
    • Finish
Medium finish with a lingering smoke and citrus ending.

  6. ColdAesthetics scored this whisky 85 points Connoisseur

From the unfortunately very rausschmeckbarem young age the best rausholtholt.
    • Nose
Full, clear citrus notes such as lime and lemon, orange but also acid berries, chocolate and signs of smoke
    • Taste
Sweet berries, apricot, partly immature with elegant smoke in between and more fruitiness, with some salt and spice
    • Finish
Smoke, dry, smoke & berries remain

    salty and farmy
    • Nose
      maritime salty and peaty, grass,
petrol whiff, cream, roasted sugar, rich honey, nuts
    • Taste
      sweet, butter, lime, grass, grain,
peat, neutral spicy, fruit syrup, salt
    • Finish
      medium, fruity sweetness, smoke,
oily, honey, peaty, grassy sweet, grass and nuts at the back

    N-
Tree sap smokes, burning rubber, fulls of plasticine, heavily peat
which will surely pleased those smokey nose. Overtimes, sort of lemon-y,
salt, seaweed, mineral come fore, a drift of welcoming freshness with a
touch of sweet sugar cane. Good stuff.

P- Tannin filled to give a dry mouth feel, follow by broad ripe dark sherry fruits, tasty. Well structure and solid. F- Medium-long, pleasant mouth coating with just the right spiciness,
no unpleasantness despite the young age, very solidly constructed,
    memorable.
