Nose: Attacked from the beginning. Spicy alcohol and sulphurous sherry rise directly into the nose. Clearly oak, looks dry and ripe. I do not have the PX sweetie yet. After a while, then also the vanilla flavors from the first life before the PX finish. With a little water much fruity. The finish gets through much more. Dark fruits, cocoa, slightly burnt sugar.

Mouth: Much sweeter than in the nose. Sweet, sulphurous sherry first. Then getting drier. The oak comes. Honey. Some cocoa. The taste is much darker. Now the dark chocolate is there. Raisins.

Finish: Not even as long as expected. Is gone relatively quickly. Clearly the weakest part.

Not a bad whisky, but in the end then interchangeable. The finish can only partially obscure the weak character.

N: Competently presented nose, Clynelish like as in sweet sugar compote>malty=vegetal - with peppery ginger and woody, sherried fruits.
T: Very rich and beautiful neat. Lots of sherry and decent maturation here whilst youthfulness is maintained. The sherry is met with compacted complex bourbon sugars also.
F: Sweet ash and deep complex vegetal before finishing on more simple vanilla.
C: One of the best so far, also the most intact after a while in the bottle at low level. Here’s an example of sherry cask promoting the whisky, whilst the whisky isn't bad either.

Sherry-brown, he stands in the glass and exudes a wonderfully sweet sherry aroma. I'm not a big BenRiach connoisseur, I'm looking forward all the more to this droplet. Very fruity it smells, ripe fruits, a little vanilla and clove, a touch of chocolate. He is strong, clear, but without putting on. The alcohol is well integrated. He reminds me of Glenfarclas, but maybe I just fancy that. In any case, a wonderful drop, which was too bad for me to dilute ... PS And if the empty glass smells very sweet of oak and vanilla, then I know that I had something very fine in the glass ...

the taste surprised, because of the key data one can expect otherwise

    a welcomed dram
    • Nose
      Cherry, malt, brown, some alcohol
      intensive herbal mixture with mugwort
      adhesive note
      soft medical note
      vanilla
      citrus fruit

      the nose is very intense
    • Taste
If you like glue, you'll love the nice mixture of fruit, glue and wood
      I like it
the glue roll seems to give a sharpness to the tongue
      then chocolate on the palate
it remains alcohol and the adhesive note
    • Finish
      long
      Bourbon heavy finish
      with fruity hints of cherry
      Wood, glue, fruit
      damp
      nice combination

Pity from the PX barrel, I expected more.
    • Nose
Custard or pods - white chocolate - orange peel - slightly alcoholic
some fruit gum bit of coffee and cocoa.
    • Taste
dry - and then a bit thin on the tongue finally now the bitter choclate
      then sweet vanilla again
    • Finish
Somehow, the flavors do not really come into their own.

Very sweet in the nose. Raisins in custard. Very sweet milk chocolate. Orange peels in alcohol. Only a strong and peppery onion in the mouth. Then the milk chocolate and the sherry get the upper hand. The finish is warming with roasted aromas, malt and chocolate. Towards the end of the medium length finish becoming slightly bitter.
Tasty and strong Benriach with a nice sweetness and then neat oak on the finish. Very nice but unfortunately nothing special.
