0367-JEFFERSON'S VERY SMALL BATCH KENTUCKY STRAIGHT BOURBON WHISKEY 41.2%
...well... I expected a more complex drink, but instead it's a rather ordinary bourbon, nothing truly remarkable. It's rather sparsely flavored, and the taste doesn't redeem it either. In my opinion, it's not worth the money. It could be used for fruitcake or other cakes, but it's a shame to treat it that way. It's disappointing, in my opinion. Even the bottle's appearance suggests we'll get more, but that's a bummer.
    • Nose
...you could immediately shout "classicco bourbono"! (I think that's what it would sound like if it were broken Italian). The barrel has quite distinct vanilla accents. Sweetish corn in a light caramel. I'll say it again – classic, quite pleasant bourbon aromas. I'll delve into the empty glass for a moment – nothing special here, rather the same as in the full glass, only less of it. A delicate hint of sweetish caramel. I'm going back to the full glass – a tiny, literally "acetone" trace. Over time, this lightness of the basic aromas gives way to a slightly garden-like atmosphere – barn, straw or hay, cucumber :-). Simple, traditional, without pomp or exuberance. Is that a plus? Or maybe a minus……let's wait until the end.
    • Taste
... delicate, quite thin, sweetish, slightly nutty – more like hazelnut. A bit tart, barrel-aged, with a hint of vanilla. Spiciness is present, but not overpowering and doesn't bother. The second sip is honeyed, slightly fruity, like an open jam jar. More warming spices, perhaps not really warming, but rather spicy, which don't even heat, just jump and sting the tongue. This quickly fades, leaving a rather thin, watery aftertaste. Like flavored water, sweetish with the addition of, say, strawberry.
    • Finish
...short, vanilla-barrel with a drop of honey and a pinch of vanilla.
