    Absolutely 'tangible' in its statement!

    Apparently several older barrels in the batch!

    An absolutely successful batch of different age maturations!

    Very mouthwatering during the whole Nosing ...

    The great abundance in the mouth with the depth of flavor is a surprise - extremely aromatic!

    Tasting Note: Italian Version!

    Tasting with FineSpirits_butler1 (Jan. 2015).
    • Nose
      NoseWonderful sweetness that initially somewhat reminiscent of the Japanese whiskys!Some old Sherry, a special alcohol note, vanilla bean, feeling of peat, already evidence of caramel sweetness, red fruits (strawberries, cherries, sweet currants ...), unwashed potato (with some soil), both the liveliness (tingling) and the typical honey note of Highland Park, traces of smoke in the sherry, apricot liqueur, mixture of peat and wood notes, scouring, old sherry cask, sweet vanilla (very pleasant), brighter fruit dipped in honey, apples (clear) and apple juice, spicy caramel, old planks (loft), some malt, 'grainy' components, sometimes flashing some milk coffee, very aromatic leather, from the distance: Barber Shops, some honey on wood, hints of cigar, wet wiping old wooden drawers, pepper, herbs, a hint orange juice; later even light toffee and strawberry jam
    • Taste
      Citrus tingle, extremely many fruits (for small sips appley), overwhelming sweetness, and acidity of citrus, spice, sweet pastries, cookies, and harshness (wood, 'old'), cigarette (taken from the box and sniffed), dark Christmas cookies, stormy-fiery while caressing softness and smoothness, reminds of coffee grounds, always full of sherry, full of flavor, the fruit sweetness is exceptional, honey, leather, sweet tobacco, a hint of herbs, gently spicy wood, idea smoke again, and again some peat;

      one can speak of a 'Fruit Explosion'!
    • Finish
      Sherry cask, intense fruit with light smoke, hints of vanilla, citrus peels, becoming dry, tobacco (cigars), leather, the special honey from HP, warm, spicy, pepper, oak, some Cognac, wonderful wood including sawdust, aftertaste of white vegetables, subtle peat, dried orange pieces, hints of strawberry jam, finest soft fruits, pinch of salt, rich finish; later a very nice soft-woody mouthfeel
