    • Nose
      Pears, lemon, vanilla
    • Taste
Vanilla, oak, spicy, first sweet then spicy
    • Finish
Medium long and spicy, oak, bitter

No malt you have to buy necessarily. Suitable for beginners, very spicy.

    N-
Obvious thin peat coated on this new release when compare to the
previous version. Get over the airy rubber and tar shades, find the
honeydew, floral and caramel, evolving and further enhance with pinched
    of apple and pear.

P- Creamy with juicy white fruits, tea smokes hold up and plenty going on. Malty sweet, body build in over time.

F- Medium length, pleasant with milky chocolate, honey and drift of soft cinnamon.

    • Nose
Very easy. A few bright fruits in alcohol. Wet hay, green tea, flowers.
    • Taste
Thin, alcoholic. Finally, a little peach.

the nose is still the most beautiful on the malt. Taste and finish flat but then quite off. Overall, there are nicer in the price segment
    • Nose
fresh lemon and bright apples; a little honey and cereals; a little bit metallic, menthol in the background; a little you notice the alcohol; Over time, floral notes are added, but lemon and cereals remain the dominant aromas
    • Taste
a little honey; benz subtle sweetness and spiciness; very fresh
    • Finish
short; light spiciness, pepper and oak; it stays slightly sweet on the palate

Found this in a half full bottle at the far end of the shelf at Burnside bar in Campbeltown.

This may be one that benefit from some time in an open bottle, as I find the average score of 72 to be rather unfair.

    • Taste
      80 80
    • Finish

  9. peatbogger scored this whisky 80 points Specialist

not bad at all, concidering price it's actually very good
    • Nose
light but interesting nose, sweet fruit, apples, vanilla and some raisins
    • Taste
      mild spice, sweet, fruitcake,
    • Finish
again on the sweet side with some nuts, but rather short

    A light aperitif
whisky that suffers a bit from its young age in my opinion. I have had much
better malts from this distillery. Thanks, Pat!
    • Nose
      Light and rather
innocent nose on vanilla pudding, apple sauce, pear drops and freshly cut
grass. A fresh spring whisky on the nose, I would say. But I must repeat:
      rather innocent.
    • Taste
      Nicely creamy on the
palate and feisty – although rather bitter. The fruit goes toward oranges, a
tad zesty, but also quite grainy. Smells young (probably is young). Mildly
floral too. Well… it is all somewhat ‘small’ if you know what I mean.
    • Finish
      The finish offers
some woodsmoke, so after a short while it dies on spices and apples.
