On the nose, wet earth, scents on the Madeira, maury, dust, dried yellow lemon, then back frankly peaty!
    • Nose
a bomb of freshness, with sweet peat, almost creamy, vanilla mixed with lemon, spices present and meat a little putrefied and smoked!
    • Taste
varied and complex spices, sweet salty grassy and floral!
after the wood comes in, some fairly cooked fruit, a little mushroom too.

  2. lachaineduwhisky did not rate this whisky Expert Senior

On the nose, fresh, first. Grilled ham. Young and vivacious. And an underlying sweetness. The peat is light and fine, it evokes some Caol Ila. Over time, the sweet sensation builds and it is also warmer. Cereals complete the panorama. In the mouth, intense, well spiced but a little unbalanced, a little aggressive. The sherry cask remains quite discreet, too much, if not for the sweetness it brings in the mouth. I can not believe it's a first filling drum. It was necessary to let the maturation last longer! The youth of this dram is flagrant, it "hangs" a little. The final is endless. In summary, the nose and the final give the smile but the weak point is the mouth, in my opinion.
    Enthusiasm 3/5

    • Nose
Beautiful, woody, dried fruits (grapes, dates), wet undergrowth, very fragrant a treat!
    • Taste
Attack on peat, salt, very creamy with a hint of lemon.
    • Finish
Long on peat iodine liquorice notes
