This was the first dram in a lineup of MOS bottlings.

A musty , dusty and earthy character. Slightly sharp in the taste. Thick and oily a well. A good start of the late afternoon.

A much better dram then the 27Y OB I tasted at the Pott Still festival in Amersfoort last year. But this distillery still has not convinced why I should buy a full bottle.

This Bladnoch offers plenty of red fruits and toffee sweetness. Also it offers a farmy profile, with aromas earth and dried leaves. There is a good alcohol integration, but a bit thin body. 86-87 Points.

Part of a MoS tasting I had with friends.
This is certainly not your typical Bladnoch. It has quite an earthy profile and it appears to be a little rustic. It reminds me of the Bruichladdich style in several ways.
    • Nose
A rather extraordinary nose. Definitely not an instantly recognizable Bladnoch. A full an earthy nose. It had got ‘dirty’ body. Closed and shy without water. Some red fruits in the backgrounds like raspberry. A decent amount of spices which I like. Water makes it more fresh. Hints of old wood reveal as well as dried herbs and fresh fruits. It needs time. When you give it that, it becomes an interesting and pleasing nose. By far the best part of this whisky.
    • Taste
Quite a punchy arrival. Bold and heavy on the palate. It eases down and gets quite full, and rounded after water is added. A fat and oily body. It remains somewhat bitey with sharp red fruits and a rather big amount of white pepper.
    • Finish
Probably the less pleasant part of this whisky. It is rather short, medium maybe. It remains rather alcoholic on the palate and peppery. Milder spices return at the very end.
