A house of whisky from us. Therefore difficult to evaluate neutral here. The nose is the most controversial part of this bottle. But the rest is on a high level for everyone. Not for nothing he is very popular with Ralfy. 91/100 ... just saying!
    • Nose
      86 86
Very dark he starts with a lot of sherry. But also immediately one has the feeling that something does not fit. With everything like berries, mint, chocolate, etc., he always makes a little detour into a strange note. Explanation: "A tobacco in strong alcohol packed in an old leather bag."
    • Taste
      88 88
That's the best part for me. Sherry goes in front of Whisky Spirit. Full tube he hits the nuts, chocolate and toffee rail. Sweet woody and with many dried fruit it brings a palate experience that goes well beyond the 15 years. Respect. This bottle is dangerously delicious! A masterpiece.
    • Finish
      87 87
Very long. He is again briefly spicy and fruity sweet woody. At the end he leaves the stage with a nutty long-warming farewell song. To pour again is announced. He is not a dram for every evening!

An exceptional filling with strong and exciting aromas - no ordinary sherry whisky. The mushroom aroma in combination with the slightly soapy touch are a little too personal to me personally.
    • Nose
      83 83
Plum compote, sweet sherry, rice pudding, spices, a clear mushroom note, a bit soapy
with water: leather, forest honey, wax, dried fruit replaces the compote; Over time, juicy orange comes along
    • Taste
      84 84
Full-bodied, the alcohol makes for a strong start, clear Sherrynoten, less sweet than expected, significantly bitter, espresso and walnut
    • Finish
      84 84
The finish is medium long and quite dry. It dominate dark oak tones and the espresso. In addition comes the mushroom note as well as some orange peel.

I added some water immediately. Do the whisky well! nose Plum roaster and subtle leather; a little later, a hazelnut is added. Over time, the hazelnut gets stronger. Even later, the citrus notes become stronger (juice oranges). The leathery notes may be more present without water. taste Full and intense on the tongue. The plum roaster and the hazelnuts are immediately present. The hazelnuts together with the chocolatey notes immediately turn into a good hazelnut cream. Later it's more in the direction of apricot dumplings.
leaving Long and slightly rockier; the hazelnuts and plum flavors have come to stay. At the very end it turns red and meaty. Add to that a floral touch. Maybe some lavender and along with something meaty. Pork medaillion in a lavender crust. That could come ... Very fine whisky. The aromas are very exciting and it develops great in the glass. What more do you want.

Water has a profound effect from an already good whisky to a great whisky.
    • Nose
Sweet, soaked fruit. Savoury tones. Icing sugar. Red fruit. Bananas. Chocolate.

With water: Less intergrated (in a good way). Sweet white bread. Definitely more spiciness; peppers and sage.
    • Taste
Heavy, complex arrival. Development starts hot to juicy sweet orange fruit.

With water: Beautiful arrival; sweet and spicy. Development from sweet and sour juicy citrus to nice bitterness.
    • Finish
Long, dry, metallic finish without water.

With water a nice bitterness, long and a surprising freshness.

It’s a massive sherrybomb with a dirty edge that I can appreciate!
    • Nose
Paraffin, furniture polish, caramel, tobacco, sweet, dried fruits, dried cranberries, raisins, figs and a whiff of apricot, some leather, cinnamon and lemon.
    • Taste
Full and sweet, massive sherrynotes with a dirty edge, plums, raisins, figs, paraffin, leather, pepper, woody and a sulphuric note.
    • Finish
Sherrynotes, treacle, tobacco, caramel, some sweet notes from raisins and figs, resin, lemons and honey. It becomes what dry, medium to long length, a fresh note of anise.
