Old and complex, this Glenlivet captivates with its spicy and voluminous nature. Lush sherry in the form of dried fruit paired with a fine-tart citrus note and a wonderfully fresh menthol note. The dominant herbal note goes perfectly with the spicy oak tones and the dried berries. A dreamlike fabric!

    • Nose
Orange-colored copper shimmers mysteriously in the glass, on the glass wall of my Premium Snifter a large number of long and oily drops pull back into the glass. Fresh peeled oranges rise voluminously, subtly mix grapefruit peel and a few sprinkles of lemon juice. Dried grapes and berries mix with fresh herbs and spices, honey and caramelized sugar are added. The sun-ripened raisins play with dark earth tones and hints of leather, furniture glaze is minimal in the air. The opulent nose stimulates the flow of saliva, the initially very subtle leather aroma increases noticeably and ends in a sweet / tart fruit mix of dried berries and citrus fruits.
    • Taste
The Glenlivet spices over the tongue and leaves an oily film on the tongue. White pepper and brine are released from the furniture glaze and dark wood tones, the subtle sharpness tickles the tongue. Cold espresso mixes with dark chocolate and dried spices, malted cereals end in hints of cough syrup, zest and zest from orange peel fall on old and dried oak. Voluminous draws warmth through the palate, fresh mint and a hint of menthol refresh the entire mouth, old hazelnuts and dry wood tones stick to the inside of the cheek. With dark and spicy wooden elements, hazelnuts and earthy notes ring in the aftertaste.
    • Finish
Spicy and dry wood tones stick to the palate, warm, hazelnuts are oily and grapefruit peel rests on the tongue. Espresso and dark chocolate mix with furniture glaze and cough syrup, sulphurised raisins stimulate saliva one last time with caramelized sugar. With wooden notes and a fresh menthol note, the aftertaste fades away very, very slowly ...
