#054 Bunnahabhain Cruach-Mhona Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky 50%
… I don't know, I don't know! I'm stunned. This item has a lot to discover, it offers a lot, it is interesting, multidimensional, rich in aromas and flavors, very intriguing, creating images. It is not a item for drinking, rather for tasting once in a while. Every sip is a new experience and impression. Although NAS, but well "made".
    • Nose
salted crackers, peat mud, an old fishing boat, water hitting the side of the port full of seaweed, tarred wood, a bit of oil as if spilled on the water. Sniffing, images present themselves: an island, a port, salty water blooming with algae. All together, although it sounds a bit "repulsive", it is very intriguing. After a few moments, when the glass "breathed" a bit, traces of sweetness appeared, herbal-eucalyptus candies?, some aromas of foam as if beer wort!!, smells like from a mangle, slightly fermenting decaying potatoes in the basement. There is absolutely no alcohol in the nose...! Rich and interesting. With a few drops of water: more saltiness, peat climates soften, a bit of blue cheese
    • Taste
first sip and... calmly, seemingly nothing, and in a moment quite spicy, peppery, smoky, woody, peaty. A bit of smoked fish, but not too much, wet moss, old moldy bales of straw. There is power, it warms, shakes, makes you want more. Very microscopic sweetness, roasted nuts, fermented yeast and slight saltiness. A drop of water - everything milder, more buttery, less peat and smoke, blue cheeses, less pepperiness.
    • Finish
medium-long, slightly buttery, peaty and somewhat moldy cheese
