Whisky Reviews for Strathisla 1967 DD

- Really, really not bad - a very fruity nose and very convenient on the palate
Fresh, fruity, honeydew, sweet 'n sticky, rather tropical fruits like mango, bananas, pineapples, sugar cane, cinnamon, cookies - very good
Punchy, oily, fruity, fine oak wood, subtle sweetness, the exotic fruits are back but also little dried fruits, hints of vanilla
Long and burning, more woody, little zesty, spice, peppery in the end
Fruit, full of fruits !! Mandarin, apricot, pineapple ... Spices, tobacco ...
Fruity, apricot, mandarin again. It is slightly spicy and woody. Wax. Powerful and complex, but it remains infinitely soft. A bit of mint and pepper too.
Very long. Slightly woody and a little wax
- One of the best Strathisla of about 40 years in my opinion
at first rather discreet and floral it then becomes more complex, on tea, fruits (orange) and a little woody
notes of orange, apricot jam, spicy and then woody notes on the end
very long, the wooded side is accentuated, pepper notes also.
