A rock solid single malt from Glenfarclas. No Sherry Monster with complex flavors, but a delicious all-day dram. In my opinion, a great PLV!

For me, the Passion, Springs and Team are almost identical and differ only in nuances.

The only criticism is the missing age (NAS) and the sparse information about this bottling.
    • Nose
Strong and amber, the Glenfarclas shines in the glass. Oily and heavy, the drops run back into the glass when panning. Fine and fruity sherry rises from the glass. It is followed by a pleasant sweetness and honey, gradually adding slightly pungent alcohol. At the end a touch of oak.
    • Taste
The mouth fills with the first sip of fruity, slightly sweet oak. Sherry mixes with the wooden aroma. Complex and powerful, the Passion exudes a plump warmth in the mouth.
    • Finish
The long finish unfolds again these mighty wood flavors. Fruity sherry stays in the mouth long and warm. A great and powerful finish.

Three essential elements in the history of Glenfarclas are origin, passion and collaboration. Team derives its name from the latter. The whisky is part of The Legend of Speyside, a series of three NAS whiskys specially bottled for Germany. Only 6000 bottles of each of this Multi Vintage Trilogy have been bottled. The whisky matured in casks from the Spanish cooperage José & Miguel Martin. The youngest whisky used is eight years old, unfortunately no further information is available. It was bottled un-chill filtered in 2014 at a strength of 46%.
    The color is dark gold
    • Nose
The nose has clear aromas of sherry maturation, with raisins, apples, dried fruit and a warm accent of pepper.
    • Taste
The taste is the spiciest of the three, notes of cinnamon, cloves and licorice mix nicely with the fruitiness of the nose and fine oak.
    • Finish
Softly sweet finish with traces of salt and smoky wood.

Hell yes, it's a NAS. Nothing against that, a honest Glenfarclas for a honest price. Lots of sherry, lots of taste. Only the finish could be a little longer...

The Glenfarclas team is a pretty light whisky. The aroma is essentially dominated by sherry. Apricots, dried fruits and some chocolate. The taste is divided into two parts: on the one hand there are fruits like cherry and some plum, on the other hand a slightly bitter note, which reminds of dark chocolate. Nuts and almonds also appear in the background. The finish is medium long and leaves a very slight impression.
A simple whisky that you can enjoy very easily without coming across the typical Glenfarcla qualities.

I have tasted the trilogy together with this one being the third one.
It is the weakest of the three in my opinion but provides still decent value for money.
All of them are pretty similar and Glenfarclas is adamant about them being three different whiskies. Well, yes, that is most likely the case, they just happen to be very similar.
    Passion (83p) > Springs (82p) > Team (80p)
    • Nose
Stewed fruits, apples, raisins, all of your basic, (refill) sherry Glenfarclas style really
    • Taste
Less intense than Passion ans Springs, same basic characteristics, only less of them
    • Finish
Short length, shorter and less oak than Passion and Springs, only hints of oak towards the end
