That one is better in palate. Great whisky as it usually happens with Littlemilla)

This has a really nice fruity nose but then the fruit subsides to reveal lots of cereal notes and pencil shavings mixed with biscuit.

The palate is all over the place with a vegetal aspect, quite hot but it settles down with a few orange notes and candied pineapple

The finish is fine remaining sweet but just fades a little

Quite short. Not drying and only slightly bitter. The fatty butter infused with vanilla die off quite quickly.

Expressive nose vanilla, coconut, caramel. Fruity mouth very well balanced. Long finish on a mixture of fruit and herbaceous. Rather good but not especially my profile.

Nose: Lot of coconut and tropical fruit over here, with some old moist wood, which led me to think it’s 20’s or so, a hint of melon and maybe papaya. I loved this nose, it’s very very good and the wood is yummy.

Palate: Some more fruit (as the nose suggests) with the lovely coconut and a nice dose of old wet wood, that makes it even more appealing to me. It’s a solid dram! I do like it very much.

Finish: Lots of oak wood, touches of coconut and vanilla.

A lovely whisky. Once again confirms why I like Littlemill as much as I do.
    • Nose
Vanilla, coconut shavings and marzipan. Fairly sweet. It also has a nutty quality and is a bit gluey, but it settles down after a couple drops of water, which also makes it fruitier. Apple and apple sauce, yum!
    • Taste
Citrus, or lemon. Lovely fruity whisky. A bit zesty as well and the coconut makes another appearance. A bit peppery, oaky and slightly dry. Some herbs, koriander.
    • Finish
Pineapple and apple. Some bitterness. Lovely finish, could've been a bit longer.

Notes based on a blind sample. Smells and tastes very Littlemillian to me, so let's pretend it is one. I think it's a solid example of the distillery character without the dirty edges that some Littlemills can have.
    • Nose
A nice mix of vanilla cake, peaches, canteloupe and lemon rind. Water amps up the fruitiness and brings out a few minty/eucalyptussy notes.
    • Taste
The fruit explodes. Spicy and slightly grainy. Vanilla cream and dried powdered ginger. With water the fruitiness grows in the taste as well.
    • Finish
Caramellized sugar, crème brûlée. The fruitiness stays. With water more dried spices in the finish (ginger powder, white peppercorns).
