A very good Springbank, interesting, less pure than the peat-smoked BBR, but of a similar level. If I prefer the nose and the mouth of the latter, the splendid finale of it (I like the Schweppes!) Makes that I appreciate it so much.
    • Nose
The first nose is alcoholic. It has honey (nutmeg, ginger) spices. Then the whole is covered with a veil very smoky end, gaining in vegetal notes evoking the moor (noisy). A fruit? acidulous? (lemon) then joins? the part. Far from occupying the whole scene, he is content to soften the profile, making it less austere. The spices also change, becoming fresher (anise) and bathing with marine fragrance. Beautiful evolution in the glass anyway.
    • Taste
Powerful, the texture is very pleasant. We are in the presence of a balanced mixture? marine notes, sour candies, mastered vegetable bitterness, light peat and spices. Well done and very nice.
    • Finish
Long, it is an extension of the mouth, but still more marine (seaweed, seawater), always with spices before slowly fading on the acidic bitterness of a Schweppes Indian Tonic.
