  1. LeChiffre scored this whisky 92 points Connoisseur

A wonderful old school sherry malt, you can also detect a light old bottle flavor. There is also great intense sherry fruit, fine oak and spices, everything you could want. The 43% is more than enough here, you don't get the feeling that it is too weak. Anyone who loves old sherry malts will enjoy this.
    • Nose
      93 93
compact, dense, dark old; egg-cooked fruits; sweet dark dried fruits; plums; dates; figs; berries; fine spice notes; some dark chocolate; dusty old oak; leafy soil; some tobacco and tender old leather
    • Taste
      92 92
creamy to slightly syrupy, nice feeling in the mouth; again the concentrated thick sherry fruitiness; plum jam; dates; raisins; berries; contrasted by dark chocolate, coffee and a very well integrated oak spice from old wood which gives the malt its pleasantly powerful character despite the 43%; fine spices; tobacco
    • Finish
      92 92
sweet dried fruits; raisins; coffee; dark chocolate; tobacco; a fine leather note; spices; oak spice from fine old wood
