  1. St. Pauli Plus scored this whisky 84 points Connoisseur

This is a velvety, oily and soft whisky that very much resembles the old style with focus on balance. It's very mature for a 10 yo, without being dominated by the wood.

If you like a good portion of soft and oily whisky with a moderate influence of maturation in ex-sherry casks, this is a good choice (if you happen to have the rare chance to obtain it).
    • Nose
      83 83
Danish pastry, tarlets, orange peel, later notes of wood, tobacco, dried fruit and spice. Just a little creamy side of vanilla. Seems to be a bit more mature than the contemporary
    • Taste
      84 84
Lovely rounded and oily. Lots of plum (and a bit of prune), orange zest, tangerine, old liqueur, wood and a bit of earth.
    • Finish
      84 84
Moderately velvety and long, a tad earthier now, but not overwhelmingly. There is still a clear presence of plum and prune (a bit more intense than on the palate), peach, allspice and cedar wood.
