  1. St. Pauli Plus scored this whisky 75 points Connoisseur

Not your most complex whisky. Even a tad dull if you ask me, given the metallic and vomit notes. No, this should have been matured a bit longer.
    • Nose
Even blind this is unmistakably a Ledaig... Wet peat, farm (horse stable), bacon and bbq smoke, embers. Further, walnut and marzipan, some grass and mint, ultra sharp lime and only a little wood influence (sawdust). But what's (most) damaging: it's quity metallic and makes me think of vomit.
    • Taste
It's not as in your face as you would expect. It's a cask strength, but feels like a 43%. The smoky, farmy and meaty influence is much lower, the barley and grass become a little more influential. The nutty side is almost absent. Instead, there is this metallic young feel. Too bad, as it becomes rather boring.
    • Finish
Well yeah, lemon zest, only a little spice (pepper), and else the combination of boggy peat, farm and malt.
