  1. AdelphosHume scored this whisky 78 points Expert Senior

This blend was much better than I had thought it would be. It's a little feisty and a bit green/floral, but there is a quality engagement to be had with it. The 43% abv certainly helps. The mouthfeel is especially surprising. Much heavier and lasting than you might imagine it would be. Give it about 10 minutes to open up, though.
    • Nose
Milk chocolate, mixed fruits (cherries, pears, guava, navel oranges), alcohol vapor (mild menthol), a bit of something floral (honeysuckle or white jade orchid tree blossoms), soft oak tannins, vanilla and oak char.
    • Taste
Malt and orange oil, mixed fruit spirits (similar to grappa), a building floral note, green oak tannins, and a bit of espresso.
    • Finish
Licorice pastels, a slight chili pepper oil finish, and an faint walnut oil aftertaste.
