Nose - Sweet honey, toffee, floral, grass, biscuit, shortbread, spice, clove and ginger. Good layered depth on the nose, sherry and herbs creeping in. Excellent.Taste - Little faint cherry, spice with fresh light softwood. Extreme plain in the first taste but gets stronger in the second sip and keeps on building, after a while the cherry cola note takes control.
Finish - Oak, sweetness, spicy and liquorice. Not bad finish, medium length.
Note - Very easy drinking whisky, but don't be fueled ? This I'm fairly certain contains a high proportional of single malt whisky, at least 70% if not more. The taste reminds me of Coca cola cherry edition, which I'm not a huge fan of. Completely different from anything I've tried before, but not in a bad way.
A single drop of water or two, opens up the spice in this whisky and be prepared for the full impact.
This Blend can put some single malts to shame.
