  1. WhiskyWonderer Supporter scored this whisky 93 points Expert Junior

    Appearance: Pale gold, with legs.

Nose: Clean and fresh, with the alcohol ever-present and initially keeping the aromas at bay. Green apple, pear, lime, banana, kiwifruit, wet grass, shoe polish, a whiff of industrial cleaning agent, slightly medicinal, floral cologne, potpourri, hints of gin, vanilla, cinnamon, some wood spice but nothing too dominant, distant smoke. A very alluring nose.

Mouth: Oily and immense on the palate. A little astringent, perhaps some chalky tannins but this was quickly overcome by the prickly nature of the spirit… it wasn’t mucking around! A fiery alcoholic kick that leaves warmth in the chest for almost a minute. Briny, sweet and somewhat herbaceous, with buttery tropical fruits lingering the most. Whilst the palate doesn’t quite live up to the nose, it is great, and the sheer intensity is what makes this dram stand out.

Finish: Long. Sweet tropical fruits and astringent green and woody tones line the palate, with significant heat and prickle on the sides of the tongue lasting til the end, which is certainly dragged out.

Nose Little glue, white spirit, alcohol stick, lightly smoked, salty, bit of citrus, grassy, hay, vanilla, sour candies, citronella, little soapy water (?), Later he gets a little sweeter and he goes a bit more to the tropical fruit, he gets clearly a bit quieter (and I like it better) by standing a bit longer Taste In spite of high alcohol level, good to drink without water, pleasantly sweet, slightly spicy, vanilla, fruity, again smoked (cigars, axes) Finish Finish is a bit salty, salty, sweet, fruity, continues to taste delicious, also the assen / cigars keep hanging
