Nose and palate have something. The departure, however, is virtually absent.
    • Nose
Malty sweet, pastry notes, honey, hay, herbs, a dry summer meadow, quite alcohol in the nose, a lot of spice with subliminal a bit smoke, behind a mixture of ripe red and yellow fruits
    • Taste
Creamy sweet, very pleasant on the tongue, but virtually no appetite, really very creamy, honey again, with time, then a little Pfeffrigkeit comes through, that could again be the light smoke, the second sip is then watery but with more oak occupied
    • Finish
Sweet oak and then that's it ... He's gone quickly ...

In my opinion the truth lies between Mosesumike's and MGHOW's review.
Pricewise you're far better off with a Greenlabel.
There seems to be a lot of Old Pulteney in the mix.
Personally I don't like Old Pulteney much...
And the question is indeed: Why so much money??

This is the best Johnnie Walker nose out of the core range and can understand why people enjoy this. Nice and easy going, I do detect older whisky in the mix. Happily take as a gift.
    • Nose
      86 86
Cooked fruits, musty old smell, floral, light smoke, pleasant and some complexity. Could spend hours just smelling it.
    • Taste
      82 82
Grain, spice, oak, smoke peat and light sweetness.
    • Finish
      81 81
Medium long with the oak and spice fusing in-between each other.

Surprisingly peaty after Blue label Highest awards. Less balanced. Still creamy
    • Taste
      81 81
Light peat. Feels like peated part is very young, while this is not tge case. Smooth
    • Finish
      79 79
Warm, long, not so dry as highest awards. Small peat note

The owner of the bottle said that this is already 15 years open and once the cork in it already swam around.
    There was no smoke left.
I suspect that this blend has already survived its best time and is slightly tilted.
Will definitely try it again "fresh"
    • Nose
Sweet, fruity, soft and round, oak, vanilla
    • Taste
First sweet, then oak, then weird corks, fruit, very spicy, alcohol
    • Finish
      Bitter, harsh, oak

A very good NAS blend, unfortunately not cheap!
    • Nose
      ripe old fruits, clearly sherry, oak, trace smoke;
    • Taste
      soft fruity onset, ripe fruit, sherry, mild, spicy oak, nuts, cocoa - slightly bitter (?); gentle, really complex;
    • Finish
      medium to long with orange and oak;

Ok, here are the ghosts. Of all the bottles from this house, I have personally shot at the 15er. He fits me in completely. But at the Blue Label the PLV is too distorted for me. Why so much money for an ordinary blend? My tip remains the No.15!
    • Nose
      87 87
The nose is in the standard range for a luxury whiskey. Tobacco notes with powdered sugar and tropical fruits. Something mineral reminds of forest and trees. Nose is ok to good.
    • Taste
      88 88
More pears like apples and minerally peppery at the same time. Very soft and lush, it spreads an almond in honey feeling. Already on a higher level but nothing special happens for this price. Too bad.
    • Finish
      86 86
Medium to long, it combines flowery floral notes in the sweet finale. He turns everything increasingly into a spicy, light pepper note. That was it then. Standard just.
      Conclusion: not fish, not meat.

WOW! I am astonished at what they have done to Johnnie Walker Blue Label. I am only glad I have an old bottle from ten years ago, the new stuff is garbage and an overpriced rip off. Genuinely astonished, Blue Label hadn't changed for years, then suddenly it become a thin, weak, flavourless whisky drink which seems to allow thick tasteless grain whisky to dominate. This is the last bottle of Blue Label I ever buy. Shame on Diageo. They will pay for it in the end though when noone buys Johnnie Walker because they simply understand that the product is no good anymore.

A very fine whiskey in the nose and in the mouth, but also relatively boring.
I have struggled to discover special flavors here.
He is very round and mild, in the mouth he does not burn a bit, here are 40% Alk. Simply too little.
The finish is gone very fast.

Tasty for a Johnnie Walker, but for the price there are hundreds of better (single) malts.
