  1. Hemdl scored this whisky 30 points Connoisseur

"Speechless" is most likely to be the case. I have no idea what I was having in the glass right now, but it had little to do with our traditional understanding of whiskey. More like a liqueur in the nose, not present in taste, flat on the finish and meaningless.

According to Christian Lindner - it is better to produce a completely tasteless whiskey than a completely lousy whiskey.
    • Nose
Could also be a liqueur. Smells extremely sweet and somehow artificial, but without falling completely out of the ordinary. Reminds me a little of this cheap lychee fusel, which is often offered at the Chinese snack bar. Basically, that's it. Just an abstrus-sweet "something" that is in the glass. Doesn't really remind you of whiskey. No matter whether grain or something else.
    • Taste
Okay ... complete U-turn. The sweetness disappears in the nanosecond, in which the whiskey touches the tongue. Now follows an even bigger question mark. What the hell is that? Water with a little wood aroma? The stuff felt like no 10% alcohol, but just as few flavors to offer. This is basically the black hole among the whiskeys. As if someone had made it their business to burn whiskey "without everything".
    • Finish
Basically non-existent. It is so flat and watery, I already had more tap water in the glass. Not really to believe that it should have 40%, because you never notice it, especially not here in the finish. A slightly bitter taste remains on the tongue, but that's about it.
