Not bad .... typical Glengoyne ... in cask strength? and with age .... something would be something for the standard range ...

Sherry and oak board, as expected. Clean and without mistakes, maybe the focus is a bit too clear on the oak, especially the sour cask notes, but it remains a sophisticated malt for a quiet end to work.
    • Nose
Burnt, full sherry with some leather, sweat, lemon peel and alcoholic toppings right at the front, even with the first nosing buttery dates come to it. First let it breathe. Now he is sweet and orderly, squeaky clean. Panna cotta with date slices and beet syrup. After being moved again, coffee and spicy wood notes are in the foreground, with candied, red fruits. The alcoholic tips are gone by the way. When heated, it stays full, but now also develops musty notes in the direction of unwashed laundry. Again he is again more fruity, rather juicy ripe than dried.
    • Taste
In the beginning he is powerful, sweet and then dries quickly, the mouthfeel is thin oily, he seems at first quite easily. Citrus notes are accompanied by fruit juice, before the whole thing develops in the direction of a dusty, oak-paneled cellar. He becomes increasingly heavier and more acidic, cough syrup is the association.
    • Finish
Clearly acidic and slightly tart cask notes with a very slight menthol impact are relatively quick, at the end a memory of dried dates and walnuts remains for quite some time.

Very delicious Glengoyne. Can be enjoyed both with and without water. 90 points.
    • Nose
dark fruits like sour cherries, grapes and blackberries. Noble wood, mahogany. Toasted almonds.
    • Taste
strong, but the alcohol is very well integrated. Very creamy milk chocolate with the mentioned dark fruits, but also distinct bitterness of oak.
    • Finish
Very long, dry and slightly bitter. An espresso note remains present.

    Fantastic malt.
    • Nose
Dark fruits, a little alcohol, nutmeg, some sherry and spice.
    • Taste
Public appearance, then briefly bitter, clearly oak, noted on the tongue. At the end he gets sweeter with a lot of sherry flavors.
    • Finish
Long and clear you notice the sherry and the spice in the mouth

Quite a treacly sherry bomb. However, compared to cask 13021, this one still has a relatively fresh character with those orange and candy notes.
    • Nose
Mocha, orange, raisin, dark chocolate, cherry, cranberry, candy, oak, pepper, cinnamon and marshmallow. With water some vanilla.
    • Taste
Dark chocolate, mocha, raisin, cherry, marshmallow, orange, marzipan and clove.
    • Finish
Mocha, prune, raisin, orange, cinnamon, marshmallow and pepper.

    tasted with Whiskyclub Spakenburg
    • Nose
figs, raisins, oloroso fruits, spices - cinamon and orange
    • Taste
pepper, spices, wood smoke, fudge, citrus - lemon and grape fruits
    • Finish
medium drying with orange and pepper

Funnily, the nose is kind of sweet (Haribo) while the palate and the finish are going more into the saltiness... interesting dram that is not easy but pretty good.

Pretty good for me means 89/100...
    • Nose
overripe red fruits dominate, getting sweeter with time, eventually remembering of HARIBO Gummybears ;) - no smoke at all (which would've been a surprise anyway).
    • Taste
Starts off a little alcoholic, after a while the sweeter notes get more dominant. Then moving completely. Salty and dry but pretty nice.
    • Finish
      Dry and on salt. Long.
