Excessive smell for me. Even the flavor is something too spicy. Any drop of water and a while in the glass opens up a pretty nice sweetness and fullness. Clearly affordable but no favorite

This was rated 87P lately on Whiskyfun.com and there were clear assumptions made that this might be Lagavulin because of the taste profile being similar to that of the Lagavulin 16. So I was curious and spent the amount of 23 EUR on buying one bottle. It's not up to me to judge whether or not Serge Valentin is "right" on whisky, but... I was very surprised to find I clearly agree. In fact, there are really some similarities to such a degree that I cannot imagine this being anything other than Lagavulin.
Regardless of whether that assumption is correct or not, this is really decent single Islay malt whisky for a very good price.

    Very good price for quality
    • Nose
Peat and smoked bits of smoked meat. Fresh, herbs, hay
    • Taste
Smoke, peat, oak combined with sweet notes
    • Finish
      Extremely intense and smoky, iodine

After over an year I've had the occasion to taste it again. Adding some drop of water has changed a bit my opinion. It is a nice whisky, also in relation to it's price, but there is something missing in the final that don't push me to buy a bottle of it
    • Nose

Sweetness, malt and peat, that one is quite light. It doesn't seem a "traditional" Islay dram.
    • Taste
      80 80
Here again, spices and honey take over the peat the is not the dominant flavor
    • Finish
      78 78
And the weakest part, the final is too short and dry to appreciate it better.

    Colour: dark amber
Nose: delicate peated smoke, creosote, salt, medicine, dried fruits, chocolate, some rubber
Mouth: Sweet, peated smoke, dried fruits, chocolate, vanilla.
Finish: short, peated smoke, dust, dried fruits.
It’s a young, smooth and easy drinkable whisky.

    Beautiful amber color.

Nose: pleasant peaty scent with elements of dark chocolate. Not intrusive.

Taste: light in taste, with notes of bitter herbs, followed by salted peanuts and a light, honey-like sweetness with hints of old oak.

Finish: long, mellow finish, reminiscent of rough leather, well-balanced tannins.

A good single malt, which I think is worth more and more money than others at higher prices.

Ilyich ... how much in this sound for the Russian heart has merged ..., say Ilyich - we mean Lagavulin, young, budgetary, with an excellent price / quality ratio, already updated, did not write on the old notes, but on impressions The same thing, and it's good that at such a price you can get involved with a very, very good whisky.
    • Nose
Open, quiet, rubber - gas mask, new tires; light notes of smoke - a water-filled fire; smoked products, lemon peel, dry peat.
    • Taste
Watery, sweet-smoky, limoncello, burnt branches, burnt caramel, burnt paper.
    • Finish
Spicy, warming, caramel, lemon zest, creamy notes - concentrated milk, fondant; peat, burnt paper.
