very independent Glendronach - blind I would have him. not even recognized as such because of the dominant mint - where you usually find ginger and the initially quite tart nose - I perceive something unpleasant - but completely fled - at the issue price, I would have given him for sure - the collector's prices, he is not worth me ,
    • Nose
First, a tart herb note with resin and some bitterness from the glass - not very tasty - which spontaneously makes me think of a Ben Nevis, behind it is heavy, old, concentrated Sherry sweetness, vanilla, balsamic, wood barrel acid, old strong oak , Tannins ... when it is longer, the slightly stinking herbal aroma disappears from the beginning and beautiful fruity sour cherry aromas, strawberry jam, burned match with slight sulfur notes, ripe peaches, round red plums, especially the plums have very fruity fresh sour flavors, in addition a light cinnamon note,
    • Taste
Mint, resinous herbs (rosemary, thyme, a hint of cannabis) sweet ripe cherries, plums, cinnamon, a little clove, the oak is always there - always in the background - voluminous, flattering, but never dominant, alcohol is imperceptible - the mint is but very intense, always perceptible, cooling, fresh, different - a little like a cough / sore throat gummy bear with cherry and menthol - but delicious. Very dark fruits, multi-layered, based on oak, fruit notes and acid / sweet balance - exciting, complex
    • Finish
Mint at 48% - cooling and warming at the same time, beautiful mild fruit notes - which first the sweetness escapes before they fade sour, sparkling dry oak, still a slight herbal resin note / tree juice / tannins - very long, almost eternal and intense
