    That's how it's done, a blast again.
    • Nose
Jawollo, go! Gentle bitter smoke, then soon strong, wet leather and tobacco, cinnamon, ginger and pepper, just another mega bowler Bowmore from the dark sherry barrel. That's how it should be. With a little water: more fruit and sweeter.
    • Taste
Pure: pleasantly oily onset without pungency (but eaten hot peppers before). Dark bittersweet sweetness with strong, dirty smoky flavor, intense smoked ham, again a masterpiece to my liking. With a little water: becomes cleaner (ach nee) in the sense of less smoke and more sweet notes. Can you do it!
    • Finish
long, sticky on the palate, bitter, but the horny kind of bitter.

I was also expecting something much more peaty. Not yet comfortable with the big cherry I wanted to test with peat.
It was not the right whisky for that. By cons yes we feel good iodine is not unpleasant. By cons the sweet side makes it a
not very sickening. I tasted it at the time of the samples, so almost 2 months ... I have to test it again.

An easy and gourmet Bowmore sherry, perhaps a little too sweet and not peaty enough to compete with the best peaty / sherry.
    • Nose
well marked by sherry, slightly peaty for a Bowmore, but very iodized, on orange, brown sugar, plum, dried fruits, hazelnut. Pretty clean.
    • Taste
sweet, greedy, sweet, typical PX, very salty, slightly peaty, lots of orange, caramel, cassonnade, some spices, some red fruits. Easy but simple enough, it has a small side Laph PX.
    • Finish
good length, maybe a little too sweet, it can become disgusting soon enough I think, very iodized.

N: peat, smoke - gun powder, liquorice, pepper, red fruits, syrup, meaty and nuts
T: smoke, spices, liquorice, spices - white pepper and nutmeg, rye, oily, caramel and nuts
F: grains, sweet, peat smoke, ashes, orange and some raisins
    definitely Bowmore
tasted with Aby and J J

The name suggests this is Bowmore. No matter, this is good stuff!
    • Nose
Fresh at first, some youngish notes as well (one wonders). After a while, these notes fade and give way to a sweet sherry aroma - stewed plums, figs and roasted almonds. Hints of seaweed as well?
    • Taste
Sherry, Sherry, SHERRY. Ok, you'd expect it that fat. Again, stewed plums, figs and nuts, heavy sweetness. And -surprise- very salty and some whiffs of, hmm, smoke?, too. Adding water, it gains some peppery notes - a nice combination with the fruity aspects that come out now more clearly. Some tar now, still salty as well.
    • Finish
Some bitter herbs, but ofthe pleasant kind, fading slowly and leaving the sweet notes lingering.

A mixed nose of peat and sherry, ashes, it evolves, it is very interesting.
Very mouth on smoke and sherry.
    Final very short.

Unfortunately still this taste and smell, common to all MoS, that I can not define but that displeases me. Too bad, without this "leg" MoS this Bowmore would have been top.

(Tasted in the living room, so not in the most optimal conditions)
