The palate is relatively forward for a 40% abv. Honey, vanilla, red berries, and milk chocolate are most obvious. Mild spiciness can be detected, most likely from the younger spirit in the vatting. But all in all, the palate is best described as 'inoffensive'.
The finish is short with oaky and E150 notes.
To be honest the sherry casks in this didn't really shine through and I find this style very different from what the core range of Glenfiddich offers. I also find the profile off-balanced and as a result, would not re-purchase this anytime soon.
