  1. dRambo scored this whisky 93 points Connoisseur

reminds me of Glen Ord's special releases and old Tali in CS - just quasi smoke-free, incredibly complex, yummy, milder than the Ord, stronger than the Talis, not imitating with quickyfinish and wet keg, unrivaled in modern scrap - keeping that perfect balance - that is exactly my thing - but since the bottle costs significantly 4 digits - I would rather buy affordable similar material - thanks Frank for the sample - a real malting moment

Venerable old oak, complex, aromatic, heavy and dense, at the same time clear and noble, sweet, slightly dusty licorice, sweet grass, musk, marzipan, apricot kernels, peach skin, sweetened black tea, very clear jasmine blossoms, lilac, orange - rather the peel and some orange peel , later a lot of wax and furniture polish, some resin, sanding dust of old oak wood including the patina of years, with more time it becomes more and more fruity - yellow fruits, interwoven, cooked together, perfume, a bunch of flowers and a fruit platter combine the result does not leave the Malthead more going on - each breath is slightly different, brings something new, now even a tiny touch very heavily oxidized smoke

What a mighty start to be without being alcoholic, even the one drop that I have carefully placed on the tongue, explodes sweetly and with beautiful spicy pulsating 70's oak (I guess it's the age of the trees used for barrel construction back then ) Teenagers, sweet fritters, some apricot bitterness forms a delicious contrast, crystallized lemon and flowers fill the mouth, a gossamer-like dryness is on the tongue - a delicate creamy astringent film of tree sap and wax, nuts and gingerbread,
    • Finish

Nuts, wood dust, chocolate, toasted almonds, geranium leaves, grapefruit peel, citrus drops - very long and very elegant
