What's that? The nose and the color are promising. The taste disappoints me and the finish is extremely bitter and sulphurous. The first Glenfarclas which I really do not like. I hope it is the day's form, soon the Glenfarclas gets a second chance.
    • Nose
Fine sherry aromas stand out of the glass. Fruity and sweet wood mingle with the sherry. A touch of citrus fruits join it. Dark fruits, raisins and some chocolate dominate the nose.
    • Taste
At the first sip, heavy oak explodes in my mouth. Some sweetness and fruit come to light for a moment. Then the complete mouth area bizzles. For a short time the tingle ends and a bitter woody aroma develops. While adding a little water will bring a little more fruit to the fore, the bitter wood will also become more intense. For the first time I taste a bitter note of sulfur.
    • Finish
Again that bitter unpleasant sulfur. For a long time the Glenfarclas exudes this woody and bitter aroma. At the end of the finish, a nut flavor is created.
