  1. Igor scored this whisky 83 points Expert Senior

Quite an honest well-made blend with a soft coastal chararcter for a reasonable price.
    Colour: pale gold
    • Nose
      85 85
Whiffs of white fruit arise first. Banana, cidery apples, yeasty pear, a touch of mild vanilla, add lemon candies at the far end. It seems, there's a slightest hint of peat beneath all that as well - ever so soft. Castor sugar (after breathed enough).
    • Taste
      83 83
Starts with a nice amount of fructose sweetness, it's quite juicy, succulent rather, medium bodied mouthfeel. Then fruity sweetness is replaced by briny/salty and tart/sour nuances at the sides of the mouth. And peat becomes more evident too, not too much though. Lemon skins, dry, astringent, slightly bitter, green walnut(?).
    • Finish
      81 81
The aftertaste lacks for expression somewhat, although it is lengthy enough for your standard blended Scotch. Bitter-dry and citric notes subside. Pistachio-like, lemony and salty, zesty, again bitter-dry.
