  1. Dram Dracula scored this whisky 91 points Connoisseur

Is its inherent quality worth its current value? Probably not. For me, the best sherry casks are not just sherry bombs but have that old-school, old library, leather, tobacco, super-fruity qualities, which this one unfortunately doesn't possess.
    • Nose
Modern sherry, very heavy, very well done -- raisins, cherry, black grapes, brown sugar, smoke, but also some burnt BBQ meat smell, which I don't find particularly enjoyable. With water, the nose is better and its good aromas more accessible.
    • Taste
A sherry bomb, through and through, and again, definitely modern. The taste is commonly found in a lot of good sherry bombs which cost 2-3x less. The sherry cask totally overwhelms the distillate.
    • Finish
      Good, predictable
