Well, I found this better with water, but then again I find most malts better with water. This is a well-balanced sherried whisky with all those notes that comes with it.
    • Nose
Neat: Woooh, sultanas, figs in an oily, waxy texture. There’s a slight saltyness and a nice scent of cloves. There’s also a mild, gentle cinnamon note.

With water: Gentler, and woop comes the clementine’s, and some very gentle ones indeed. Salted dark chocolate, cereal, brown sugar. And yes, figs and sultanas.
    • Taste
Neat: Dry and sweet. Clementine, and baked raisins. And dried apples and chocolate.

With water: Hmm, salted chocolates, but in a drying/sweetish way. It’s a very fresh palate, and very balanced.
    • Finish
Neat: Medium-long, and very well balanced. Dark chocolate, cacao, figs and a little hint of baked apple.

With water: Less chocolate, more dried apples and raisins. And pears!! It’s very easy and clean.
