What a complex dram! Even a bit better than the TWA,
although not much. The Swedes should be so lucky. No more laughing at Jura,
    • Nose
Fruity nose with all kinds of berries and citrus
fruit, upholstered with hazelnuts. Great farmy side. And, just as with the TWA,
a bit of menthol. Sweetened farmer butter, becoming louder all the time. Leave
it for five more minutes and it even becomes a bit tropical. Peach, indeed.
      Grand nose.
    • Taste
It is oily and spice (think licquorice, nutmeg and
white pepper), with loads of orange zest. Quite some mint and peat, now,
working wonders. White chocolat, filled with caramel. Midpalate it turns
maritime with some salt and even seaweeds.
    • Finish
The finish is long, spicy and offers the final say to

odd nose on cooked cabbage and old butter, the palate is however very pleasant and complex, a whisky that should improve once the bottle is opened

At first nosing it's like butter that's been in the fridge too long while you've been away, and you need to smell it a number of times just to try and figure out if it's gone bad or not. It's on the edge. Alongside that there's some vanilla and smoked banana. A little bit untamed on the palate with the smoke making an unexpected burst having been quite restrained on the nose, with plenty of added pepper, spicy herbs and ginger-infused citrus oil. Very mineral on the finish, with some of the sweet rancid butter from the nose coming back as well as the herbal spice.

Citrus, rhubarb, gooseberries - already overripe and syrupy, boiled apple juice, mint, caramel,

oily, spicy, tree sap, citrus zest, mint, a bit bitter grapefruit peel, fresh boards, licorice, a fine hint of smoke
    • Finish

spicy, mild, complex, apple jelly, liquorice

Strange whisky, I've never experienced cheese so clearly in nose and taste.
    • Nose
      86 86
Strong aroma's, smell of cheese is very clear! As well as some fruity and sweet hints of citrus and vanilla.
    • Taste
      84 84
Body is less strong than the nose, still a clear taste of cheese. Again some sweet and fruity notes, vanilla and citrus.
      Pretty pungent.
    • Finish
      85 85
The sweet and fruity notes remain, a little pungent still, pretty long.

Vanilla and honey rather generous, joined by coffee and spices. Then a rather strange note, rather maritime, comes scramble a little panorama so clear. In the mouth, well balanced between wood, sweetness and especially spices, the final lack of fullness with too much bitterness.

    Enthusiasm 3/5

    http://kaypingers-whiskyblog.de/frontend/fullarticle.php?id=203 Color: straw yellow
Nose: Smoked lemon, oranges, sweet peat, oily-creamy, light green with leather, vanilla, avocados, rhubarb cream and honey.
Taste: Spicy and salty and at the beginning a lot of lemon and grapefruit. Then comes dull leather, cardboard and dry wood. Overall, very smoky and peppered with plenty of pepper and a consistently creamy mouthfeel.
Finish: Medium long - with the same notes as before. Dry peat and smoke, cold ashes, leather and fainting with delicate wood.
    91 points (nose: 91 / taste: 91 / finish: 90)
