    Talisker Storm NAS | 45.8% | 21 + 20 + 19 + 20 = 80pts
    N: Sea salt, fresh seaweed, smoked meat, smoked fish, honey, hot spices.
    T: Salted smoked meat, citrus sourness, honey sweetness, hot pepper.
    F: Rolls in a wave of salt, smoke, honey and bitterness of the barrel.
    B: Bright, rectilinear NAS. Good, but somehow without enthusiasm.

    an incredibly voluptuous smoke rises in the nose. Mineral Mief paired with fouled detergent. The difference to the Skye and the Dark Storm is revealed only by the price. Pears, oranges and bananas. Zip your lips.
    Rattling things.
    12 juicy thighs ride down the palate in drops. It is dark. The tealights are out. The wind.
    It smells like burnt rubber. Pah orange. Purple Rain. How about mint ?! Yes ... and sequoia. Face. Black mint, vanilla is not mint. Ice cream.
    Delicious. He is beautiful

    It's a touch drying and easy come easy go on the finish and body, but the beauty of this whisky is that it has more Talisker spirit and power than the 10 year old. I would choose this over the 10 year old because the standard 10 has been domesticated beyond all recognition as a Talisker, while this and the 18 year old are still firing on all peaty cylinders.

    It is a Talisker very influenced by bourbon casks, sweet vanilla, sugar cane, icing sugar. We smell iodine and heather, but it is in withdrawal, and very little peat. Then come red fruits, strawberry, prune and raisin. A little earth and cherry, would there also be aging in sherry casks? Everything is well balanced. An ounce of sea salt to frame everything. A few volutes of smoke.
    In the mouth, it is softer and vinous first, almost sweet, hazelnuts, leather, caramel, apple, but the pepper rises very quickly. The final is pretty strong, but it goes. Relatively long, it leaves a smoky taste, tar and humus.

    Overall, solid, typical Talisker Malt. However, he could be a bit more complex, the youth is also very noticeable. For example, the Talisker 10J in the same price range is clearly ahead of it. For me no bottle you have to have.

      powerful maritime note; peppery spicy; with a nice smoky note; behind it very subtle fruity sweetness
    • Taste
      78 78
      powerful; superficially intense peppery-spicy (chili-catch); clear smoky note; behind it lies a subtle sweetness
    • Finish
      78 78
      the peppery spiciness continues; to smoky; something oak

    A young, spirited Talisker who, however, can not hold the water for the 10 year old !!!
    A very successful Malt!
    • Nose
      maritime, some campfire smoke, fruity (pears), alcohol;
    • Taste
      pleasant, only tingling, then stronger beginning, clear smoke, some salt, spice, oak;
    • Finish
      short to medium-long finish; Smoke and salt are left behind;

    • Nose
      The picture on the packaging describes the aroma optimally. Maritime (rough sea is really true), camp fire smoke, intense and strong, later comes through a sweetness and fruitiness. After a few sips (if you got used to the smoke) comes here a clearly ripe fruit (pear for me)
    • Taste
      mouth-filling, instantly spreads a chili-sharpness in the mouth, the maritime impression is clearly confirmed here, it spreads dry smoke in the mouth (becoming dry) very spicy, after a long time in the mouth comes a sweetness and fruitiness (light ), oak and saltiness is there too. Fairly mild for 45.8% by volume
    • Finish
      long and warm, dry smoke stays long (as well as the maritime note)
