My first bladnoch. I was pleased, but this one does not convince me ...
    • Nose
Pretty bright color. Thick, heavy streaks on the edge of the glass ... The aroma starts with sweet wood, but also the alcohol is felt. Spices, juniper, honey, pickled raisins in the background.
    • Taste
Very strong at the start - almost I would have swallowed. The burns right on the tongue ... Then come again spicy aromas. I think he can stand some water ... A small drop of water. The seasoning stays. He just gets a little milder.
    • Finish
The finish is quite long, spicy, still burning.

A beautiful lowlander, doesn't need to hide behind a classy Littlemill. And can still be found (April '14) here and there for much less than a Littlemill. Too bad it's a single cask, but fortunately not the only good one around.
Go get one as long as you still can. :-)

Creamy nose balanced by fresh grass and oak, with barley, malt and zesty citrus fruits coming through when a couple of drops of water were added. Wonderful stuff. The creaminess continues onto the palate, although here there are additional touches of shortcrust pastry, pepper and faint chilli spice to liven things up. Medium-length, dry finish that retains the spicy elements, albeit with a hint of bitterness at the very end. A lovely Bladnoch and excellent cask choice yet again by the new owners.

I am generally not a Lowlands drinker, but this one has a lot of character and quite an addictive taste. I like this one better than the standard 20 YO. 87/88.
    • Nose
and fresh with pear, freshly baked cake, honey, green apple, vanilla, peach and grapefruit. Some maltiness, grass
      and nuts as well.
    • Taste

candy, grapefruit, grain cookies, apple, roasted nuts, vanilla, kiwi and a bit of pepper. Initially somewhat bitter in comparison
to the nose, but with a drop of water it becomes very sweet and creamy.
    • Finish
Malty and grassy, with a bit of chestnut.
