  1. Magnus Hillman scored this whisky 86 points Expert Senior

One of the absolutely most complex whiskies I have tasted. Had it blind and figured it would be either a private cask Arran, old Tormore or Bruichladdich. Even a private cask Mackmyra came to mind but was not even close. Thanks Jonas Olsson for the sample.

    • Nose
Substantial malty appearance, a bit waxy, vanilla and dirty stone mineral followed by lemon, grapefruit and bitter honey.
    • Taste
Bitter and sour arrival but still some distant sweet floral notes which reminds me of the complexity found in old Bruichladdich. The floral notes rushes through the development with rose water, malt sugar, vanilla and sweet lemon. Some sour and salt tickle the tongue before bitter mineral and cereal sweetness drives the whisky right into the finish.
    • Finish
Salty mineral and sweet cereal compete with some diluted vinegar, lemon zest and black pepper. It all ends up with some burning chili.
