Weird whisky, challenging to drink. Not an every day dram for me, but it will not sit in my cabinet collecting dust either. I have a dram maybe once every few weeks, and enjoy it. 85/100
    • Nose
Rhubarb (yes, really), savoury and sour, plant-sap (the smell you get when you rub leaves until they disintegrate), almonds. Later on it gets sweeter: brown sugar.
    • Taste
Wood spices (cinnamon and vanilla), quite peppery, a bitter note and slightly spirity. A lot of cask-influence here.
    • Finish
Sweetens from the taste but remains peppery on the front of the tongue. Ends in mild liquorice (the savoury kind, almost laurel leaf).
