An incredibly intense and multi-layered sherry malt! Chocolate, sweet PX fruits and spicy tart wood make my sherry heart beat faster. A great successful and delicious malt, I want more of it!

    • Nose
Amber-colored caramel with a wonderful reddish shimmer in the glass, long and oily "legs" pull their endless paths back into the glass on the glass wall. Caramelized sugar and creamy milk chocolate immediately stimulate my salivation, candied raisins and ripe cherries blend with old peach and caramel. Plums and dates follow the sweet fruit mix, mandarins fall into syrup and milk chocolate, cocoa powder trickles onto lightly rotted wooden floorboards. The beguiling sweetness covers up the old fruit notes, malty subtle spice notes come into their own, I could smell this wonderful nose forever.
    • Taste
Abrasion from old orange peel trickles on the tongue with the first sip, malty cereal notes flood the palate with voluminous, slightly bitter fruit aromas, a pleasant spice note is distributed throughout the palate while subtle sharpness burns slightly on the tongue. Caramelized sugar, juicy oranges and tart chocolate end in a slightly dry wood tone, walnuts and steamed tart wood elements are washed over relatively quickly by beguiling sweetness and an intensive spice mixture. Do I taste a hint of sulfur, muff and mildew? Espresso drips onto an oak board from which a scent of dried wood dissolves.
    • Finish
Walnuts and hazelnuts dominate the aftertaste in combination with dry wood tones, subtle sharpness and dark oranges. Again intense black coffee appears, thyme and meadow herbs provide an exotic touch. A touch of furniture polish and dark mahogany wood leave a bitter note on the palate with espresso. Subtly sparkles on the palate, zests of old oranges and grapefruit end the voluminous and long finish.
