  1. Boletus did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

    43% version, bottled 2012:

Everything that makes a good blend is included here: fruit, spice, smoke...just a decent range. Only this oily-greasy mouthfeel is unnecessary in my opinion. It evokes associations of fries that are too greasy or burgers that are heavy on the stomach.
    • Nose
Orange marzipan, tangerine, light celery aroma, celery cooking water, spicy smoke in the background, honey, salted popcorn with butter, neutral soap
    • Taste
Spice orange, marzipan chocolate, an earthy root vegetable component in the background, becomes constantly more spicy and malty, pepper, cloves, milk coffee, dark wholemeal bread
    • Finish
Rather short, dark nut nougat with very little sugar, chili, gentle smoke settles in the mouth, bitter orange, creates a greasy, oily mouthfeel
