Whisky Reviews for Glendronach 2002

- This is one of the reasons there are so many Glendronach-lovers nowadays!
Great cask-management, though i was rather curious for this one at cask strength...
- Notes from the label
Rich fruit cake with lashings of raisins and dates.Vibrant and lively with pleasant balance.
Full bodied and bold sherry notes, including oak and brown sugar leading into more delicate vanilla and walnut notes.Balanced fresh fruit and spice.
A lovely, sweet finish with nice longevity.
- I got this from my local liquor store of which the owner is part of 'De Wijnproevers'. Reduced to 50% due to duty costs reasons. It might have been better at natural strength. Still a bargain for a single cask Glendronach though.
Off course very sweet PX sherry flavours. Raisins, dark coffee and mocca. Dried fruits. A few herbal notes at the background.
Surpisingly spicy and dry. Sherry sweetness. Lots of vanilla. Strawberries and apricots. Not very complex, but very drinkable.
Not that long. Peppery.
