    Glass: Blender's
    Color: yellow gold
    Let stand for 15 minutes.
Aroma: a young heart of alcohol, malt, a little salt sprinkled on a wet kitchen table, yellow marmalade.
Taste: sweetish, malt, freshly sawn pine; there is no riot of tastes here. Everything is quite smooth.
Aftertaste: long enough, with a hint of bitter grass.

Flavor has notes of peat, burn wood, butter, plum, sweet vine.
Taste has elements of peat, berries, plums, apricots, smoked meat and butter.
Finish is bold with notes of butter, peat, smoke, plims and fresh fruits.
Empty dram keeps flavor of heavily peated meat and sweets.

    Bingo! And Edradour,
albeit the peaty version, that is really outstanding. Andrew, you know what to
    do, sir. More Ballechin please!
    • Nose
      Boy, what a delicious
nose! The peat translates into a slightly medicinal touch (think iodine), that
is content with a supporting role. The leading role is clearly reserved for
nuts and summer fruit. Think pineapple, oranges, Pink Lady, apricots on syrup.
Some ginger and liquorice and, do not laugh, whipped cream. If it can maintain
this complexity until the finish, we have a winner.
    • Taste
      On the palate (which
is quite creamy) the peat takes the reigns again, making the smoke pretty big,
while underneath it is mostly apricots on syrup that rear their heads. Even
reminds me a bit of eggnog. Well spiced on cinnamon, ginger and liquorice.
    • Finish
      The smoky and sweet
      finish lasts wonderfully long.

    Colour : Deep gold

Smell : Complex nose with sweetish

Taste : Complex, peat, smoke and vegetables

  18. HunterRomario scored this whisky 87 points Expert Senior

    • Nose
The scent dominates the typical aroma of the barrel of the port, with the touch of sweet peat and straw. This is a more sophisticated style, but with a nose buried in Glencairn, a luster of spice and shimmer can be captured on the wave of alcohol. (85 b)
    • Taste
On the tongue of very cultivated and matured speech, a pleasant taste full of peat, smoke and wood, with a sweet / slaný impression and a wonderful oil reverberation, which is interesting at the end of sharp peppers. (89 b)

    Place: @Clan Maccurve
    • Nose

      medium peat, floral, citrus hints
    • Taste
      pine wood, but that's it
    • Finish

      medium finish, pine wood, spicy

  20. Feusi scored this whisky 83 points Connoisseur

The number 3, fruity sweet with a lot of peat. Smoke and peat over honey, brings me in a controversy, is it now sweet and nice or even more a powerfull Islay whisky?

  21. Lafroy scored this whisky 77 points Expert Senior

    • Nose
A lot of peat, strong notes of countryside, wet
hay, sea breeze, dung, some salt wood varnish, glue and dryness.
    • Taste
It starts very sweet with hints of currants,
smoke, plum, smoke again, peat, iodine, honey, and some caramel in the
      aftertaste.
    • Finish
Medium long, sweet, semidry, with hints of honey
      and smoke.
