I would be blind here in the 70s - a little less port influence would have been good for the departure - overall an exciting tasty drop - undervalued.
    • Nose
      90 90
retro peat that immediately reminds me of the 70s, beautifully degraded and integrated - old books, spine, tobacco, some ash and subtle mineral notes that combine very nicely - behind it a fruity dancing wall made of wild berries and dried dates, slightly sulphured - very sweet sour and fruity in a pulsating eternal struggle for dominance in the nose and therefore very lively and enticing
    • Taste
      90 90
fruity sweet, polished old oak, nice and dusty, stone powder, sparkling shower powder, waxed leather, chocolate bitterness, strawberries, blackberries, dates, Camembert crust, the smoke is always there - noble, fine, well connected - very floral and creamy - strongly reminiscent old Talisker from the early 80s without the chili catch
a great mix of magical smoke aromas, subtle fruitiness - which is tempting but not overlapping and a spicy, tasty, bitter base note. He seems very old to me without becoming too lame.
    • Finish

here it weakens a little - you can chew it for a very long time without it watering down, even if it stimulates saliva very much - then you swallow it, but it is gone and gets a bit bitter, with the second sip still cress and a little bit of ash
