TASTING NOTE (LMDW):
Color: old gold with amber highlights.
Nose: both firm and elegant. Pell-melt, caramel, toffee, praline, coffee, mocha, chocolate, fig, date, raisins, apricot, wild strawberry, cherry plum, incense, leather , black licorice, difficult to give more precise definition of aging in sherry casks. But above all, the strength of persuasion of this Glenburgie lies in the airiness of each of its aromas.
Palate: elegant, racy. With the same sharp and sharp mind, it embellishes honeysuckle, baked apple, blackberries, blueberries, fresh walnuts, cardamom, melon, fresh mint, basil, coriander, linden honey and cloves. "Sherry" on the cake, all is coated with a pinch of mineral salts.
Final: long, endless. His contribution to the aromatic and taste palette is medicinal (balm), camphor, "ranciotée" (cherry with brandy) and exotic (mango, passion). Slightly tannic, it evolves on citrus zest (orange) and on the toasted walnut. The retro-olfaction is vinous (sherry, sauternes) and the empty glass is finely wooded (cedar, oak).
Comment: Many have in mind the impressive 1997 vintage version of our 2012 Collection.
Of a lighter color, this 1994 has absolutely nothing to envy him so much the extent of his palette aromatic and gustatory is wider and more complex. Each of the perfumes, each of the flavors play at the right time his solo brilliantly. The whole impresses with its cohesion and its harmony.
