Faithful to the pre-94 Glen Gariochs, it's a small UFO that clearly won't make everyone agree. While it retains a pure dark and mysterious side, the water makes it more readable and dangerously drinkable. An atypical profile which is always a pleasure for me every time I go back!
    • Nose
Very light nose at the start, but quite bewitching and intriguing. A little soap, orange marmalade, strawberry yoghurt and honey biscuit.
It then opens with flowers (potpourri), lemon juice and milk caramel (toffee). We still have a flavor side, but it draws more and more towards the sea spray, with some spices (green pepper and chilli) and a light raw pepper side.
We're not going to lie to each other, it's very weird.
With even more openness, we start with passion fruit with a nice note of coffee and hazelnut powder.
The water makes it more expressive, with a candied lemon side that goes well with the toffee. The coffee is also darker, with a note of bitter cocoa. The flowers and the perfume side are less strong, but seem to "rise" above the other smells.
    • Taste
It's very good, but hard to analyze at the start: everything is very homogeneous and melted into a block. We find coffee-hazelnut, toffee and fruit (although set back on strawberry yoghurt, passion fruit and candied orange).
In the second part of the mouth, a wave of flowers (patchouli, potpourri) and spices (pepper, cumin) carries us towards the finish.
Water makes it much more greedy. Strawberry yoghurt takes up more space, and pastry cream comes with toffee and hazelnut, with a little lemon candy and a lighter hint of flowers.
    • Finish
Long, on toffee, fruit and the flower/spice combo. The whole stays on the palate for a very long time, with a return of strawberry yoghurt on the aftertaste.
The water comes to break the finish a little by shortening it. It then remains in the direct continuity of the mouth (diluted).
