Tasted after the Glenury Royal 1973/2010 TWA.
We are on the same kind of profile, but the power adds another dimension to the dram.
The fruit is just superb here.
The water does not change much, I just have a little more honey in my mouth.
Superb waxed fruit on the nose.
Juicy pear, mirabelle plum, quince, quetsche.
Vanilla, wood, light dust.
Light elderflower. Pepper mint.
Eucalyptus. A little puff pastry.
We do not smell too much alcohol in the nose, so much the better.
In the mouth there too the degree of alcohol is not felt too much, it is rare with these Rare malts.
A superb fruity kick. Always this Alsatian yellow fruit tart.
Lots of spices. Salt and pepper to simplify.
To complete the picture: a nice dose of wax.
Very fruity and waxed finish. Peppery, salty. We almost have mineral coming out.
A touch of floral here too, with some pink and fresh mint.
