    Superb amber dress.
Tasted after the Glenury Royal 1973/2010 TWA.
We are on the same kind of profile, but the power adds another dimension to the dram.

The fruit is just superb here.
The water does not change much, I just have a little more honey in my mouth.

Superb waxed fruit on the nose.
Juicy pear, mirabelle plum, quince, quetsche.
      Vanilla, wood, light dust.
      Light elderflower. Pepper mint.
      Eucalyptus. A little puff pastry.

We do not smell too much alcohol in the nose, so much the better.

In the mouth there too the degree of alcohol is not felt too much, it is rare with these Rare malts.
A superb fruity kick. Always this Alsatian yellow fruit tart.
Lots of spices. Salt and pepper to simplify.
To complete the picture: a nice dose of wax.
    • Finish
      91 91
Very fruity and waxed finish. Peppery, salty. We almost have mineral coming out.
A touch of floral here too, with some pink and fresh mint.

http://kaypingers-whiskyblog.de/frontend/fullarticle.php?id=226 Color: Old gold with amber
Nose: Sparkling and spicy with a stunning amount of black pepper and a strong salt content. Yellow fruits with leading Mirabelle. Overall, very smoky underlaid. Leather, humidor, vanilla sugar, honey, cream and lime juice.
Taste: bang! Full power with powerful spiciness, lots of fruit and smoky wood parts. Leather, wax and a pepper note that stirs up the palate. Dried garden herbs and the wood run in unison.
Finish: Long and somewhat one-dimensional. The fruit components retreat, so that the still salty spice with delicate herbal notes and the dry wood touch largely alone dominates the finish.
    92 points (nose: 91 / taste: 93 / finish: 91)
