    #0754 BENJAMIN PRICHARD'S TENNESSEE RYE WHISKEY 43%
... it started out so beautifully, but as the "classic" used to say - it doesn't matter how you start, only how you end. And it ended... so-so. The nose is quite unconventional for a rye whiskey, but the taste is nothing special. Just a typical "rye whiskey". It definitely has its fans, if they pour it, I'll pour a portion, but if they don't, nothing will happen either. There's nothing to regret
    • Nose
... for Tennessee Whiskey, it's an exceptionally fruity atmosphere. It seems like a lot of honey and fresh pine board, resin, rosin. In the empty one, flowers appear, a flower bed, semolina with milk. It's strange because it's supposed to be Rye Whiskey, but I like it. In the full one, something I would compare to... gin and... spirit?! Pleasantly fruity, although it's hard for me to define specifics - ripe mango, canned corn, maybe passion fruit. Exotics suit me here, although I could be wrong. It's all a bit wrapped in the smell of a barrel. There are also some unobtrusive aromatic spices.
    • Taste
... sweetish, creamy, slightly lacquered with a distinct rye accent. Here, without a doubt, you can't go wrong. Pleasant rye, spicy, slightly sour, barrel-aged. The fruits are withdrawn, but we have more spices, although it would be good to thicken it all by adding strength. With time, there is more "amol" and lacquer. Everything has flattened out, the sweetness is no longer so obvious, there are no fruits, the honey flavor is diluted. But there is more juniper, i.e. a gin aftertaste, nutmeg and cinnamon. Unfortunately, the taste does not go hand in hand with the aromas
    • Finish
... medium, very rye, spicy, even a little burning, lacquered with a light herbal aftertaste. At the end something like bitter cold tea with a lot of tannin.
