Tasted at the 2nd Gathering in Rotterdam:

This is for you if you're into FWP and soap. I'm not interested in having my mouth washed out; did that enough as a kid... The nose is old whisky, some OBE, but the lavender and violet starts to appear. In the palate... ooh no! If I rinsed my out I feel it might foam. I don't often spit out whisky; but this is an exception.

Put it this was, you don't often get a chance to taste 1960's whisky, but maybe ask for a half measure because there is still some merit to trying this...

Tasted it at the first Whiskybase Gathering in Rotterdam (26 November 2016).

Nose: well it has some flowery offnotes. Which is a bit of a shame. Initially it reminded me of my grandma's soap, lavendel soap. Also some anice and/or fennel. Luckily also some elegant fruitiness of pears.

Taste: again bit soapy, but also bread and pears. Also creamy and vanilla.

Finish: bit astringent and soapy, mixed together with some flowery creaminess.

An elegant oldtimer that's soft on cream and different kinds of seeds, but on the other hand the flowers and soap is not for everyone
    • Nose
Soft and elegant. Anise with some dried leaves, also dried fruit and a few tannines, fruity tea and fennel. Some flowers like violets and lavender. On the nose this is somewhat controlled.
    • Taste
Caraway seed but also soapy. One of the great offnotes we don't want.
Very herbal some ginger and cloves. White bread with poppyseed. Pear, cream and offcourse vanilla. Still the soap stops it from being great.
    • Finish
Vanilla, cream and anise with some soap.
